Aaron,

To set up a recurring event, first you will need to create it in the BlackBerry calendar. You will be able to then see this event in Viira's Day View, from where you can assign it to a project or context, etc.

You will also see a "View In Calendar" button in Viira which will open your calendar and let you edit the properties of the recurring event directly.

Point taken, Aaron. We will put our heads together and see what we can do about offering different orderings in Project View and Context View.

Also, how do you set an event to recur, for example paying the rent on the 1st of every month?

Interesting answer - thank you.

I'm a bit puzzled by the implication that it is easier to only have the option to view projects in alphabetical order. I would have thought it would be easier to have both options. This way you can prioritise which projects to deal with, much like the tasks list.

Aaron,

At present contexts and projects appear in alphabetical order. This makes it easier to find the project or context that you are looking for, and also if you press the first character of the name of the project the list automatically scrolls down to the right place.

Are you interested in re-ordering the project or are you hoping to make certain projects or contexts always appear closer to the top?

hi

liking the Viira version 2 very much ...

have two queries:

1. how to hide completed tasks

2. I am using Netcentrics Getting Things Done Outlook Add in; when i got Viira installed on my Blackberry 9000 bold, ideally it should have imported the existing projects and contexts assigned to various tasks on to the blackberry, however it hasnt; can you please do let know whether Viira has the capability to sync with outlook ?

thanks

Thanks for the note and glad to hear that you are loving Viira so far!

To answer your question, projects are used to group together to-do items that have a common goal. In "Getting Things Done" David Allen defines projects as "any desired result that requires more than one action step", so even something simple that requires a phone call and an a couple of emails qualifies for a separate project.

The goal of contexts on the other hand is to group tasks by some commonality, like location (e.g. "At the grocery store") or the presence of tool or device that is necessary to complete those tasks (e.g. "On computer", "At Work" or "Call"). I have even heard of people using contexts to put down ideas for things to do with their kids when coming home from work.

I hope this helps for a start. We will dig some more and see if we can find more resources and tips on the topic to help people like yourself get the most out of Viira when starting out.

I have been using your trial and really love it. I can't quite understand the difference in contexts and projects. Can you please explain. Perhaps a flow chart of the programs capabilities would help people such as me. Thank you.
